C.A. Lim & Co (Reg. No:VE(3) 0036) was formed in June 1992 by its principal, Mr Lim Chien Aun, who has over 30 years of experience in valuation work and related work both locally and abroad.

The Firm provides professional services as Registered Valuers, Real Estate Agents, Property Management & Maintenance Managers and Property Development Consultants with its office at Bangunan Su Beng, 104 Jalan Dr Lim Chwee Leong, 10100 Penang.

At present the Firm has over 30 staff providing high quality professional services in property valuation, estate agency, property management, feasibility studies and development consultancy.

The Principal

Lim Chien Aun, FIS(M), JP, PJK, is a registered valuer by profession. He graduated as a valuer from United Kingdom in 1974. He holds a Diploma in Urban Estate Mangement from the Polytechnic of Central London and a Post-Certificate in Urban Land Studies from the University of London.

He is a Fellow of the Institute of Surveyors, Malaysia. He is an Associate Corporate Town Planning Surveyor, a Registered Valuer (V-091) and a Registered Estate Agent (E-073) in accordance to the Malaysian Valuers and Appraisals Act, 1981. He has over 30 years of professional experience which include a short working stint in United Kingdom. He started his valuation career in Malaysia as a Valuation Officer with the Valuation Department at the Federal Treasury at its Selangor and Head Office. He has been in private practice since 1976.

His experience includes valuation of properties and machineries for various purposes such as sale, puchase, financing, KLSE listing requirements, takeovers and mergers, stamp duty, Real Property Gains Tax and land acquisition and compensation purposes including attending court and negotiations at Land Office.

In addition, he has experience in feasibility studies, supervision and consultation on project management both during and after construction.

He is active in public, community and recreational activities in the State of Penang. He was a Municipal Councillor of Majlis Perbandaran Pulau Pinang (Penang City Council) from 1982 to 1988 and a Senator of Dewan Negara in 1989 and 1990. He was also an elected member of the Penang State Legislative Assembly for the Constituency of Bayan Lepas from 1990 to 2004.
